Sebastian was born in Munich and grew up in Penzberg. He moved back to Munich to study chemistry at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and performed his Bachelor's thesis in organic chemistry in the group of Prof. Carell. During his Master's studies, he gained experience in the handling and synthesis of energetic materials in the group of Prof. Klapötke and improved his skills in organic synthesis by working on the synthesis of chemical probes in the Konrad group. To gain experience in industry, he joined the Konrad group in collaboration with Roche Basel for his Master's thesis to work on a fluorination methodology. In his free time, he enjoys bouldering and hiking.
